Clubs and Organizations
We would like all of our students to enjoy the 360-degree experience while attending Lopez. We do this by providing a welcoming atmosphere where students can explore and participate in meaningful, enriching extracurricular activities in addition to challenging coursework.
With well over 20 clubs and organizations, Lopez offers students and their parents many opportunities to enjoy our community and its diverse interests

Math Counts
A national middle school mathematics competition that builds problem-solving skills and fosters achievement through fun, in-person “bee” style contests.

Robotics
A club that involves building specific robots that will carry out different tasks for challenges that will involve middle schools from San Antonio. The students will create their own design and code for the robot. This is not a robotics class, because in this club you compete against other schools and advance if you win.

UIL stands for “University Interscholastic League” which is the governing body for athletic, drama, and music competition in Texas. We compete against other students within the district in 9 events.

Cyber Patriot

Art Club
The Art Club at Lopez Middle offers art-related activities to Lopez students who desire to serve others via their art. The art club/honor society participates in studio-service-oriented activities with guided instruction and goals. Membership is open to all Lopez MS students with good academic standing and behavior

Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Lopez FCA is a community working to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Weekly Bible studies are held to facilitate the growth of relationships with Jesus Christ and among peers.
